As a UK-based videographer, I have more than ten years of experience in the industry, shooting lifestyle, travel, corporate, social media and promotional videos for a wide range of clients including Sage, Hilton, NatWest, Heineken, BASF, Halfords, Mastercard and Dentsu Creative.

 

As the owner-operator of Sony 4K cameras, I bring with me some of the latest technology to every project as well as lighting and audio recording equipment, to ensure delivery of high-quality video content.

Having worked in the media production industry since leaving University in 2006, I have gained a variety of skills while working on a wide range of professional projects, such as commercials, corporate and factual videos, drama projects, short films, and feature film productions. I have also taken on a number of different roles that encompass the entire television and film production process.

With over 8 years experience as a freelance Data Wrangler and DIT for commercials, corporate projects, music events and TV dramas, I have worked on both scripted and unscripted video projects, having safely managed, transcoded and copied the digital media for both single and multiple camera shoots using Arri, Sony, Canon, Panasonic and Red cameras.

Within the role, working for the likes of the BBC, Tiger Aspect, Nine Lives Media and Dentsu Creative, I have integrated industry standard software to seamlessly manage data workflows ready for post production.

Behind the Scenes (BTS) footage and Electronic Press Kits (EPK's) offer a unique and invaluable perspective into the making of a film, video or any creative project.  Whether it's interviewing cast and crew or capturing important elements of a shoot or event within a project, over the past six years I have been filming and putting stories together to help promote film projects from community based documentaries to commercials and feature films.

ASSISTANT EDITOR - TV Drama

Working in television drama is always a challenging undertaking.  Experience has been gained as an Assistant Editor, to support numerous Editors on up to 20 week long projects.  From managing, processing and syncing of daily digital files, coordination with Heads of Departments and Producers compiling and uploading daily assemblies, assisting with visual effects and sound designs, creation of internal trailers, to being responsible for the smooth day-to-day running of the on-site editing department.

My first experiences in the television industry was as an assistant director, a position that continues to develop even now that I work as a freelance videographer.

Transform your marketing channels with a constant stream of video
 
A retainer is a long-standing agreement that I as a Videographer, make with yourself to create your video content, ensuring that it's effective, consistent and in line with your key messaging.

The agreement is very flexible and usually last between 6 and 12 months and is a lot cheaper than employing a production company on a project-by-project basis and less than employing a single in-house Videographer or Producer.

Signing up to a retainer has meant my clients have partnered up with me to create a constant monthly stream of video content that is used across their business, social media accounts, websites, landing pages, paid ad campaigns and any type of marketing channel that you can think of.

Setting up this agreement makes perfect sense if your goal is to produce a certain number of videos every month.   You'll be working with a Videographer that knows your brand inside and out, and saves you the time and trouble of having to find video production companies for every video.  From a strategy point of view, a retainer makes your marketing schedule more integrated and efficient.
